Our teams have been hard at work over the last month to add more functionality to portals and Widen Workflow, as well as making updates to the Widen Collective. We’re excited for you to see all these changes in our 10.3 release on August 13.
New in Portals (Early Release)
In portals you can now:
Add or remove assets from existing portals as you need by clicking Add/Remove within an assets section. Search for assets to add or uncheck the ones you want to remove.
See Larger Previews
When viewing a portal, you can see larger previews of assets in Quick View. When viewing the larger preview, click the arrows to see larger previews of the previous and next assets in the portal.
When you create a portal, you can set an expiration date, and when that date hits, the portal is no longer accessible. You can expire the portal from the Share button on the portals Dashboard. Expire it on a future date or the current date. An expiration date is not required
If someone who has been shared the portal views it, they’ll see a message stating the portal is no longer active.
Resolved Portals Issues
The issue with changing the browser default language has been resolved.
The issue with video previews displaying incorrectly in portals has been resolved.
New in Widen Workflow (Early Release)
In Widen Workflow, you can now:
See the latest activity on projects and proofs in the activity stream
Use rectangles to add comments, in addition to dropping pins on proofs
As a reviewer, see the date you last viewed a proof and the total number of comments on each proof on the Dashboard
Email project members about tasks relating to the proof (e.g., if the project has been delayed, if a reviewer has not reviewed)
Rotate proofs by 90-degree increments to the right
Resize proofs to review them more precisely using the slider
