We offer integrations with Content Management Systems (CMS), including WordPress, Drupal, and Sitecore. Site admins must enable the respective feature on the Features page before the integration can be downloaded, installed, and configured by you or any users.
Connections to other CMS platforms can be done using our API.
Configure User Roles
When configuring an integration between a CMS and the Widen Collective, we recommend that you set up a user in the Collective specifically for the CMS integration that's assigned to an appropriate role that has access to assets that will be used in the CMS. If you authorize an account that has global administration permissions in the Collective, when searching the CMS, users will have access to assets they may not have permission to in the Collective. Therefore, it's important that you authorize a user in the appropriate role.
Embed Codes That Display
The embed code options that display in WordPress, Drupal, and Sitecore are often the same ones that display when sharing from the Collective. You can select embed code options that display in the Collective or choose from the available sizes. You can also create share links and embed codes on the Share Links page in the Admin app.
We recommend that you train the content managers who will be using the CMS on the embed code options that are available and the ones that are preferred for use.
