Upload profiles provide a flexible and organized way for you to upload assets to the Widen Collective. They're an important tool in the asset upload workflow, as well as when assets need your approval. With upload profiles, assets are automatically placed into specific asset groups when you select a profile at upload. Release and expiration dates and default metadata can also be applied to assets using the upload profile you select. Use upload profiles to archive assets immediately after upload, set version preferences for conflicting assetsand assign assets to asset groups, categories, and global collections.

If assets need your approval, for example, you can divert uploaded assets to a "pending" asset group, leave the release date blank, then select permissions for the upload profile for one user role, like contract photographers. Choose to receive alerts and email notifications as a reminder to begin reviewing uploaded assets, then move approved assets to a designated asset group and release them.
