There is! Use the Widen Collective's integration with WordPress to create websites and blogs quickly and easily. Transfer or embed assets from the Collective into your WordPress websites using the Widen DAM plugin.

Download, install, and configure the plugin

To use the WordPress plugin, first download and install it, then configure it in WordPress to authorize its use in your site.

To install:

  1. Download the Widen DAM plugin ZIP file from your user profile in the Collective.
  2. Log in to your WordPress account.
  3. Click the Plugins menu.
  4. Click Add New.
  5. Click Upload Plugin.
  6. Upload the Widen DAM plugin ZIP file.
  7. Click Install Now.

To configure:

  1. Click Settings.
  2. Click Widen DAM Settings.
  3. Enter your Collective site URL (e.g., in the Collective Domain box.
  4. Click Update Options.

Authorize a connection to the Collective

After you've installed and configured the plugin, you'll need to authorize a connection to the Collective. To do that:
  1. Click Authorize with Widen DAM.
  2. You'll be taken to your site to log in.
  3. Click Allow to let the plugin access the Collective.

Add assets to the WordPress Media Library

After installation and configuration, you'll set up access to assets in the Collective from WordPress. To set up access:
  1. Click Media.
  2. Click Widen DAM Library.
  3. Enter search terms.
  4. Click Search.
  5. From search results, click Add to WordPress Media Library to add assets.

Embed into WordPress

Embed images and videos from the Collective into WordPress posts and pages when editing a post or page. To embed:
  1. Click Add Media.
  2. Click Insert from Widen DAM in the left navigation on the Insert from Widen DAM page.
  3. Enter search terms.
  4. Click Search.
  5. From the Embed Links dropdown, select the image or video size from search results to embed into the post or page.
  6. Click Embed in Post.

The image or video will embed into your WordPress content at your cursor's current position.


Access to WordPress is based on permissions. You must have the WordPress Plugin permission to add assets from the Collective to WordPress sites.

Collective admins can enable the WordPress CMS Plugin feature on the Features page.
