The recommended way for you to manage new user accounts is to use registration codes. Registration codes are created to make the administrative process of approving new accounts more efficient.

When someone registers for an account, the registration code provided has a pre-assigned role (user group), which allows you to view the registration and determine if the role is correct. Registration codes can be set up to automatically approve users, if appropriate.

A custom option for managing new users is to have a single sign-on (SSO) integration. An SSO integration provides a pass-through token from a managed internal site (intranet) to the Widen Collective and will automatically create a user account when someone logs in from the intranet site.

You can also choose to expire new user accounts within a certain number of days using registration codes. When that's set up, users will have access to your Collective site for the number of days you choose, but not after.
