Yes! When the Document Text Search feature is enabled, text in documents can be searched when a search term is entered in the quick search and the Search Document Text option is checked in the refine search or using the advanced search in the More Searches dropdown. Microsoft Office documents and PDF files are searched when the feature is enabled.
The Document Search option will be automatically checked when you search for assets. Uncheck that option if you don't want to search documents.
Searching Document Text Using the Advanced Search
To search document text using the advanced search:
- Click the More Searches dropdown.
- Click Advanced Search.
- Select Document Text in the asset advanced search options.
- Enter a search term.
- Click Search.
