What are operating systems are supported for use with the Adobe CC Connector?
These are the supported OS:
- Mac OSX High Sierra
- Mac OSX El Capitan (Apple support ends in fall 2018.)
- Mac OSX Sierra (Apple support ends in fall 2019.)
- Windows 7
- Windows 8.1
- Windows 10
In addition, these are the supported Adobe CC 2017 and 2018 apps:
- InDesign 13
- Photoshop 19
The supported Widen and Adobe CC Connector is version 1.1.3.
I'm getting errors when installing the Adobe CC Connector. Can you tell me what they mean?
Username and registration code included
If you get an error when registering the Connector that includes your username and registration code, the message says:
"Unable to register Widen with email address and registration code provided. Please verify the correct email and token have been entered."
You will see your username and registration code in the error message text with this message.
The email and registration code is not correct or your site admin has disabled your access to the Connector.
Re-enter your email address and registration code or request that your admin give you access to the Connector.
Username and registration code not included
If you get an error message when registering the Connector that doesn't include your email address and registration code, the message says:
"Unable to register with Widen with the email address and registration code provided. Please verify the correct email and token have been entered."
You will not see your username or registration code in this error message.
InDesign may not be able to access the network due to a corporate network proxy.
If you're still experiencing connectivity issues when registering the Connector, download a new version of it from your user profile in the Collective. Choose Preferences > Adobe CC Connector to download the package for your OS.
One of our designers has left the company. How do I allow a new designer to use the Adobe CC Connector and the Widen Collective?
We recommend removing access to the Collective for the designer who’s left your company, then contacting the Widen Central Support team to request that the new designer be added as the replacement user. The Support team will get the replacement user added and let you know when that’s done.
Is searching and downloading insights captured when searching or downloading from the Connector?
No, downloads and shares from the Connector are not captured in the Insights app.
How does font packaging work with files linked using the Connector?
Whatever fonts are downloaded on your computer are those that are used within the Connector. Those will be the ones that are used for files opened using the Connector.
