It’s almost October! What does that mean? Well, for one, our annual Widen Summit is coming up this month, so be sure to register if you haven’t already. This is the last year it’ll be free to attend. Bring your teams!

Along with that, the latest release of the Widen Collective will happen on September 30. Here's what you'll see with that release.

Assets

Resolved Issues

  • The issue with advanced search criteria not displaying in the quick search box has been resolved.

  • The issue with users without permission being able to delete a batch of assets on the Uploads page has been resolved.

  • The issue with collections hidden by default displaying in saved search results, advanced search results, and global collections search results has been resolved.

Portals

New Administrate All Portals Permission

When you have the Administrate all Portals permission, you’ll be able to see all the portals that have been created - including those for all users - and manage (view, edit, share, duplicate, delete) those portals. If you’re a global admin, we’ve automatically enabled this permission for you. You can enable it for other users of your site from the Roles page > Application Permissions > Assets.

If you enable the permission for users, they will see all portals that have been created on the site under the “All” filter option on the portals dashboard. This permission gives the users ability to view, edit, share, duplicate, and delete other users portals.

Google Analytics Tracking

When the Google Analytics Configuration feature is enabled in the Collective, you can now use Google Analytics to track events that happen on public pages in your portals.

Resolved Issue

  • The issue with portals sort order not displaying correctly has been resolved.
