When you create Insights charts, you'll be able to group chart data by certain parameters, then filter that data by different options.

Group by

Site and engagement data can be grouped. Grouping by refers to how data is organized along the x-axis of a chart. You can select an area within Insights to group and choose a value for the group that will display on the x-axis. By default, data is grouped by date.

Site data

Site data can be grouped by:

  • Assets: asset group, asset state (released, unreleased, archived, expired, pending delete, deleted), category, date, global collection (deleted collections are not included)

  • Storage: asset group, asset state, date

  • Users: date, user role

Note that data grouped by asset groups shows all assets in the groups regardless of their asset state. Group by asset state to see assets that are released, unreleased, archived, expired, pending delete, and deleted.

Engagement data

Engagement data can be grouped by:

  • Downloads: asset details, browser details, conversion formats, date, intended use, location, and source details

  • Logins: browser details, date, location, and source details

  • Searches: browser details, date, location, search details, and source details

  • Shares: browser details, date, location, and source details

  • Social shares: asset details, browser details, date, location, and source details

  • Uploads: asset details, browser details, date, location, and source details

  • Views: asset details, browser details, date, location, and source details

Asset state filtering

Insights charts for asset site data can be grouped by asset state and a filter can be added to filter by archived, deleted, expired, pending delete, released, and unreleased assets. These are definitions of the type of assets a filter will include when selected.

  • Filtering by archived assets includes released, unreleased, and expired archived assets. It does not include pending delete and deleted assets.
  • Filtering by released assets includes expired assets. It does not include archived, unreleased, pending delete, and deleted assets.
  • Filtering by unreleased assets includes expired assets. It does not include archived, unreleased, pending delete, and deleted assets.
  • Filtering by expired assets includes released and unreleased assets. It does not include archived, pending delete, and deleted assets.
  • Filtering by pending delete assets includes archived, released, unreleased, and expired assets. It does not include deleted assets.
  • Filtering by deleted assets includes archived, released, unreleased, and expired assets.
