We’re kicking off 2017 with quite a few exciting additions and updates to the Widen Collective and Portals apps. Read on to learn about what you’ll be seeing in your site this Saturday, January 14!

Adobe CC Connector (Early Release)

The Adobe CC Connector is now an available early release integration in the Widen Collective. The Connector allows you to open and edit assets from your Widen Collective site directly in InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. New or updated versions can then be uploaded into the Widen Collective from Adobe.

Contact your customer experience manager or the Central Support team if you'd like to try out the feature.

New in Portals (Early Release)

Our developers and UX team have made a number of really great enhancements to the Portals feature that we think you’ll like.

Portal Thumbnails on the Dashboard

You can now add preview thumbnails for your portals and they’ll display in the thumbnails on your portals Dashboard! Previews don’t need to be assets that are already in the portal; they can be any asset you’d like.

See Larger Previews When Searching for Assets

When searching for assets to add to a portal, you can see larger versions of assets in Quick View, play a video, or see all pages of a document.  Just select the asset from search results and the larger preview displays. Click the arrows in the upper right to see next and previous assets from search results in Quick View.

Select All Assets in Search Results

If you want to choose all the assets from search results and add them to your portal, the Select All button at the top of each page is available for you to quickly do that. Select up to 100 assets per page.

You can still select assets individually by clicking the check mark or select all assets, then deselect the ones you don’t want.

More Fonts Available, Including Google Fonts

Additional font choices have been added for Standard and Brand templates. For Brand portals, you can also add brand-approved fonts using Google fonts.

Banner Section Updates

When adding a banner image, you'll be prompted to crop the imageBased on the crop size you choose, the banner will automatically change its height and the font size of any included text based on the width of your computer screen or device.
